In a brilliant ceremony full of emotion, pride and sportsmanship, the awarding of the city's top athletes for their performances this year took place on Tuesday 24/04/2025 evening at the Volos Exhibition Center.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Municipality of Volos and the Sports Directorate, with the aim of recognizing the efforts and distinctions of Volos athletes who honor the city within and beyond its borders.

A special moment of the evening was the awarding of the top Greek mountaineer Nikos Maggitsis, the first Greek to have conquered the highest peaks in the world and who represents Magnesia internationally with unique consistency. At the same time, Manolis Giankos, one of the best freedivers in the country, was honored for his distinctions and records in this demanding sport.
