It addresses freedivers who already are familiar with the depth and dive relatively comfortably at depths greater than 10 meters. Also to more experienced freedivers who want to learn the theory and techniques of freediving thoroughly and adequately to obtain the necessary bases for their further development safely.

The purpose of the training seminar and the trainers is for the participants to acquire specialized knowledge on advanced techniques of freediving and equalizing pressures in the middle ear, deepening the physiology of the human body, and methods of relaxation and breathing.

At the end of the seminar, you will be able to hold your breath for at least 2min and 30 sec, do a dynamic apnea of 50 meters and dive to depths of up to 20 meters with comfort and safety.

The theoretical part of this program, which includes at least twelve lessons of one hour and takes place in the FreedivingWW auditorium or online through a particular platform, analyzes all that helpful information that will prepare participants for their upcoming free diving in the pool and sea.

 The subjects taught include:

  • Specialized Breathing Techniques
  • Modern Diving Techniques
  • Free Diving Equipment and auxiliary equipment
  • Physics of freediving
  • Advanced Physiology of free diving
  • Upper respiratory tract anatomy and middle ear pressure equalization techniques
  • Diving response and effects of the marine environment on the human body (Diving Response)
  • Hypoxia-Loss of consciousness (LMC-BO)
  • Introduction to physical conditioning for free diving
  • Marine environment and the freediver's attitude towards it
  • Risks and safety precautions
  • Diving buddy practice in freediving (Buddy system)
  • First Aid in a diving accident and procedures flow chart
  • Local Diving Legislation

Subsequently, in the practical part of the training seminar, the participants, through the corresponding visits in the pool and the sea, perform a predetermined series of customized exercises to lay the right foundations and experiences in the following subjects:

  • Relaxation and self-concentration techniques
  • Preparation and recovery breathing techniques
  • Static Apnea (STA)
  • Dynamic Apnea (DYN)
  • Diving technique – body posture
  • Finning technique
  • Underwater propulsion
  • Middle ear pressure equalization techniques
  • Buoyancy (Neutral Buoyancy Point)
  • Accelerated Free Fall
  • Constant weight diving (CWT)
  • Free immersion diving (FIM)
  • Development of underwater agility
  • Risks and safety measures
  • Diving buddy practice in freediving (Buddy system)
  • Diver rescue protocol from a depth of 5 meters
