Aimed at experienced freediving instructors who have organized and taught in a large number of recreational level training seminars and want to learn how to teach the theory and practice of Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER and FREEDIVING LEVEL 4**** / TRAINING and COMPETITIVE FREEDIVING.

The Freediving Master Instructor Level 2 **, will have the ability to organize and train at all recreational freediving levels and to act as an assistant instructor in the training seminars of candidate instructors at all levels.

The purpose of the training seminar is for the participants to acquire knowledge on teaching techniques and demonstration of theoretical and practical subjects, to acquire the skills of planning and organizing trips for groups of up to 10 people, and to learn practices of identifying, predicting, and solving problems that may arise.

The seminar includes, among other things, the elaboration of essays and presentations both on specific and general topics, a final written evaluation, and a final lecture evaluation on one of the subjects to be taught during a free diving seminar of Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER  or  FREEDIVING LEVEL 4**** / TRAINING and COMPETITIVE FREEDIVING.

 

Content

The theoretical part of this program, which includes at least 25 one-hour lessons and takes place in the FSWW auditorium or online through our platform, examines all the useful information that will prepare participants for the requirements of preparing, organizing, and leading of all recreational freediving seminars.

The subjects taught include:

  • Structure of the freediving educational organizations
  • Basic principles of teaching in specialized subjects
  • Learning processes and gradual development of specializations
  • Education methodology
  • Analysis of the educational programs and objectives of Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER and  FREEDIVING LEVEL 4**** / TRAINING and COMPETITIVE FREEDIVING
  • Organization of training seminars of all recreational levels
  • Actions and obligations as an assistant in Instructor training courses
  • Advanced Breathing Techniques (teaching methods)
  • The use of educational aids and video during a course on specific subjects
  • Certification procedures
  • Lectures in theoretical courses in the material of the amateur levels Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER and FREEDIVING LEVEL 4**** / TRAINING and COMPETITIVE FREEDIVING
  • Analysis of the exercises and educational objectives of Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER  and FREEDIVING LEVEL 4****- Analysis, critique, evaluation of the skills of the candidate trainers
  • Rescue and first aid - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (practice and teaching methods)
  • Local diving legislation

Subsequently, in the practical part of the training seminar, the candidate Freediving Master Instructor Level 2** instructors, through trips to the sea and / or the pool, perform a predetermined series of customized exercises and procedures in order to lay the proper foundation and experiences in the following subjects:

  • Practices of recognizing the ideal pattern and process for relaxation and self-concentration for each candidate. Teaching methods.
  • Briefing and debriefing procedures for the practical subjects of Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER and FREEDIVING LEVEL 4**** / TRAINING and COMPETITIVE FREEDIVING
  • Teaching the technique of breathing preparation and rehabilitation
  • Teaching the Static Apnea (STA)
  • Teaching the dynamic apnea in all techniques (DYNM / DYNB / DNF)
  • Teaching the natural methods of equalizing the pressure in the middle ear (Rev.Pack, Mouthfill, Mouthfill on Demand) - Problem solving
  • Teaching the variable weight diving (VWT)
  • Teaching the Free Immersion (FIM)
  • Teaching the passive exhale diving (FRC dives)
  • Teaching the residual air volume diving
  • Rescue and first aid - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (practice and teaching methods)
  • Predicting, preventing, and solving problems in open-sea lessons
  • Identification of the ideal buoyancy per educational level and per freediving technique - balance – ways to be achieved by the trainees
  • Demonstration of skills and exercises of Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER and FREEDIVING LEVEL 4**** / TRAINING and COMPETITIVE FREEDIVING
  • Rescue procedures and first aid protocol from a depth of 15 meters - candidate evaluation
  • Maintaining control of students and groups during specialty open-sea lessons

 

Participation requirements

Documents and conditions of participation:

  • The participant must be over the age of 22 years old
  • Identity Card or Passport
  • Medical certificate issued within the last 12 months
  • Freediving Instructor Level 1* Certification
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certification (BLS)
  • Disclaimer form (to be completed before the beginning of the course)
  • List of completed and certified seminars certifying that the candidate has trained at least 40 students in at least 5 different levels of freediving seminars.
