It is aimed at experienced, accomplished freedivers who are very familiar with depth and pool disciplines and want to evolve from the recreational to professional level regarding Freediving.
The Free Diving Instructor Level 1 * can organize and train the recreational freediving levels freediving Level 1* / OPEN WATER FREEDIVER and freediving Level 2** / ADVANCED FREEDIVER and to be an assistant instructor at the recreational Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER.
The purpose of the training seminar is for the participants to acquire knowledge on teaching techniques and demonstration of theoretical and practical subjects, to acquire skills of organization, management, and planning trips for groups of up to 6 people, and to learn the practices of identifying, predicting, and solving potential problems that may arise.
The seminar includes, among other things, the elaboration of essays and presentations both on specific and general topics, a final written evaluation, and a final lecture evaluation on one of the subjects to be taught during a Freediving Level 1* / OPEN WATER FREEDIVER and Freediving Level 2** / ADVANCED FREEDIVER recreational levels.
Content
The theoretical part of this program, which includes at least 25 one-hour lessons and takes place in the FSWW auditorium or online through our platform, analyses all useful information that will prepare participants for the requirements of preparing, organizing and conducting training seminars of Freediving Level 1* / OPEN WATER FREEDIVER and Freediving Level 2** / ADVANCED at the recreational level.

Subsequently, in the practical part of the training seminar, the candidate instructors of Freediving Instructor Level 1 *, through trips to the sea and / or the pool, perform predetermined series of customized exercises and procedures in order to lay the right foundations and experiences in the following subjects:
- Practice on recognizing the ideal pattern and relaxation process for each candidate.
- Briefing and debriefing procedures for practical subjects
- Teaching techniques of breathing preparation and rehabilitation
- Teaching Static Apnea (STA)
- Teaching dynamic apnea in all techniques (DYNM / DYNB / DNF)
- Teaching the techniques of Equation of pressure in the middle ear - Problem solving
- CWT Instruction
- Free Immersion (FIM) Diving Tutorial
- Rescue and first aid - Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (practice and teaching methods)
- Predicting, preventing, and solving problems in open-sea lessons
- Identification of ideal buoyancy per educational level and per different discipline - balance - ways of achievement by the trainees
- Demonstration of skills and exercises of the recreational level Freediving Level 1* / OPEN WATER FREEDIVER and Freediving Level 2** / ADVANCED FREEDIVER
- Rescue procedures and first aid protocol from a depth of 15 meters - candidate evaluation
- Maintaining control of students and groups in open-sea lessons
Participation requirements
Documents and conditions of participation:
- The participant must be over the age of 18 years old
- Identity Card or Passport
- Medical certificate issued within the last 12 months
- Freediving Level 3*** / MASTER FREEDIVER Certificate, or corresponding freediving Cross Over certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certification (BLS)
